An Opening

An Opening
The passageway grew...

Giving
The traveler
A peek into
The future
Tomorrows
Not of yesterday's past
Gaining footholds within

Seemingly
Insurmountable task
Yet choice made
Avenue opening
Opportunities
To be grasped tightly
Lest slipping away

Before
The traveler
Savored the moment
Of delicate
Fragrances
Expanding nostrils, allowing
Whiffs of taking chances

Fearful
Yet necessary
Footsteps toward newness
Not tattered
Remains
Being tossed about by
Societies mandated venue

Once,
The travelers,
No more to be
The walk
Embarked
But understood for what
Endeavoring purpose attached

Able
To continue
To find growth
And satisfaction
Within
The traveler's road weary
Heart that beats to a...

Different Drum!
